Wrist Measuring Methods at Home
String and paper method vs. the flexible tape measure.
You can easily measure your wrist with just a piece of string or paper. Wrap the string or paper around your wrist and use a marker to mark where the end crosses over. Then add 1-2cm for regular fit, 2-3cm for comfort or 3-4 cm for very loose relaxed fit that will easily slide partially along the arm.
Use a measuring tape and wrap it around your wrist and record the measurement at first overlap. This measurement will be looser due to the rigidity of the tape measure (vs strong or paper which follows wrist contour closely). Then add 1 cm for regular fit, 2 cm for comfort and 3 cm for relaxed fit.
Pro Tip: Remember to measure the dominant hand (which is usually larger) and the "knuckle clearance" for cuffs. This is the knuckle on your wrist which is the widest part of your wrist. The bracelet will generally be work behind the knuckle for the most comfort.
Industry Insight: Visual weight of a bracelet (e.g., an 8mm beaded leather bracelet vs. a 4mm woven leather bracelet) affects how tight the fit may feel.
